December 15, 2008 - Eat A Variety Of Foods To Slim Down
This is the U.S. Food Pyramid, it is a bit abstract, but each color refers to a food group and obviously the man running up the stairs, refers to 30 minutes of exercise daily.
- The orange stripe represents grains;
- Green represents vegetables;
- Red stands for fruit;
- Yellow is for fats and oils;
- Blue is for the consumption of dairy products;
- Purple is for the protein group.
The truth is that if you eat widely within each food group and in every food group you are fuelling your body full of vitamins, minerals and nutrients.
