The interactive technology that provide Dietwatch's weight loss program with the tools they offer their members, are at least in part, responsible for the success of many of its members.
The dietwatch tools offer subscribers the opportunity to see exactly how many calories they've consumed and estimate how much energy they've spent in exercise.
While the Dietwatch diet meal planner calculates what you need to be consuming, it also calculates what you've actually consumed and configures this information in an easy to read Nutrition Score.
The Nutrition Score provides their members with valuable information such as, but not limited to:
Your Total Calories
Your Calories From Fat
% of daily value for your calorie intake
Total Fat Consumed
Saturated Fat Intake
Cholesterol.
Against these scores Dietwatch inserts little graphics to tell you whether or not you've consumed enough of a particular nutrient.
Smiley faces are used to indicate that you've consumed a good level of a particular nutrient. Arrows are assigned to indicate whether you are consuming too much or too little of a particular nutrient.
When you log your food intake gradually through the day, your Nutrition Score is immediately affected. This means that you can periodically check your score for deficiencies or for any apparent over-consumption and adjust your eating accordingly.
Dietitians are trained specifically to help people with nutrition. Losing weight, is their specialty.
While many others claim that they can tell you the secret foods to eat to lose weight, these professionals are practical scientists, who educate and advise their clients based on reliable research what to eat and what not to.
Dietwatch has a specified time, when Jennifer May (Registered Dietitian) is available for questions in the Ask the Dietitian forum. This is the place where you can ask the nitty gritty questions.

My Own Thoughts About Dietwatch.
I used to actively promote Dietwatch because I believed that it offered a way for dieters to access the services of a dietitian cheaply.
However, having used their services myself, I found that while their tools are great, it did take a number of days for Jennifer to respond to a question I posted on the Q & A Forum, which was a bit disappointing as I needed a quick response.
Dietwatch does have significant weaknesses when it comes to actually entering the food that has been consumed which can be time consuming.
I also received some feedback from visitors that they found the home page to be a bit confronting asking for an email address and details up front.
So my recommendations have changed.
Overall I think Dietwatch is a fantastic way to keep an online food diary, but getting individual advice from a dietitian elsewhere may be needed as well.
