What Are All These Buttons And What Is An RSS Feed ?
Don't know what a RSS feed is ? Don't know what all these buttons are for.
Don't worry - neither did I up until fairly recently. They have a number of advantages for you though:
Allows you to view news that you want through a piece of free software called a news reader(a little bit like the browser you're using right now) or a RSS ready internet browser ! You can subscribe to any feed that you like, on any topic - as long as there is a feed available.
You are in control. If you don't like the information I send you - or anyone else sends you, you can easily delete the feed in your reader.
So you can still receive up to date information about fat burning food and weight loss research without signing up for a newsletter, course or whatever.
If you want to receive our information, without giving us your email (totally safe with me anyway, but just say you'd rather get an RSS feed) but you're new to RSS you'll need to consider a couple of things.
You can view our RSS feed in a couple of ways, either:
If you currently are viewing this page through internet explorer and is your most used internet browser, then the most convenient option for you would be to utilize the free download at Pluck. This is an attachment to your browser which allows you to view the feed, while you are browsing the internet.
If you'd like to subscribe to our RSS feed through your My Yahoo or My MSN homepage, follow these instructions:
Step 1:
If you don't already have an account, go to Yahoo (click on My Yahoo at the top of the page, and follow the instructions to create an account) or My MSN (click on My MSN at the top of the page, just under the search bar, and follow the instruction to create an account).
Come back to Savvy-fat-burning-food.com and find on the home page and or any of the other pages these icons,
Left click these buttons
It will take you to a page where it asks you if you want to subscribe. If yes, click +ADD, if no, then close the page and don't subscribe.
This will subscribe your My Yahoo or My MSN homepage to the feed and you can view it at your leisure. This may be the most convenient way to view the feeds as it doesn't require you to download any software.
Then install the browser on your computer and open.
Step 2:
Type the address of our blog, http://www.savvy-fat-burning-food.com/blog.html and go to the home page http://www.savvy-fat-burning-food.com.
You will find in the bottom right hand corner of the browser there is a little orange icon (It looks like an orange and white symbol for sound waves). This is telling you that there is an RSS feed on this page that you can subscribe to if you so desire.
Step 3:
All you need to do is right click on the icon and you'll be subscribed to the feed.
This will place the feed in your bookmarks to the left of the monitor and so when you want to view the information again, you just use it as a book mark, but firefox will know that it is a feed and update it accordingly. You can also create a folder in your book marks for feeds especially.
When you've done this, install both programs by double clicking on the 'program.exe' and it will take you step by step through the process of installing the program. They are very reputable programs and don't contain spyware of any kind.
Step 4:
Come back to Savvy Fat Burning Food and right click on these icons anywhere on the site and click copy link or copy link location (depending on what browser you're using).
Step 5:
Open your RSS Reader and press the 'ADD +' button at the top of the page. Right click and select paste and it will have pasted the RSS url, press next and next.
Congratulations, you've just subscribed to one of or both of Savvy Fat Burning Foods RSS Feeds. You can now see if I add a new article to the website or add an entry to the Community Journal Blog. If you no longer want to receive the updates, just delete the feed in your feed reader and you'll no longer receive them.
